The time has come once again to announce LaunchDarkly’s annual conference, Trajectory.
Trajectory is our opportunity to bring together our customers, our team, and our community to present talks related not just to the world of “feature management,” but also to the wider world of software development.
Over the past year, we’ve seen a lot of shifts in the software industry as a whole; as demand has increased for faster delivery of software and platforms, a higher bar for user experience, and great controls around things like security and cost have also emerged.
Trajectory gives us a chance to come together and learn from each other about how we can all take advantage of practices and tools that enhance our environments, grow our careers, and help us collaborate better.
As the way teams build software has evolved, we focused on an overall theme for Trajectory this year around “Modernizing Software Development”—aligning our topics to the various ways teams are shifting their practices to move faster, ship more often, and control their risk.
As part of our planning for Trajectory, we’d love to hear your stories! Stories about how you’ve changed your company, technologies you’ve learned and explored, awesome technology demos with great code to share, or tales about how you’ve navigated your career. We want them all!
Themes and topics we'll be exploring
Our Call for Papers (CFP) is currently open, and we’re looking for talks and workshops related to the following themes:
Building and Shipping Software
Have you built the perfect process for how you ship your code? Maybe a strong passion for integrating testing into your process? This theme is for you.
We want to learn about the ways you’re building your own software, and how others can follow you on your journey!
Collaborating Across Teams
Recent years have intensified the requirements of collaboration across teams. We want to hear about how yours has shifted. What tools are you using? What processes have you adopted? We want to know! Tell us the story about how you build not just teams, but high performing organizations.
Experimentation
Have you evolved beyond simply shipping features - and into capturing data around the “right” release to trigger? What was your first A/B test? Choose this theme to tell us the story about how you think of experimentation and how teams can carry that knowledge forward!
Platform engineering
Are you building and supporting the platforms that your company builds their application stacks upon? Are you managing and monitoring multiple applications to keep your business up and running? We want to hear from you!
Release Management
Are you the orchestrator who takes projects into production? Do you work on the teams that coordinate releases? Do you have stories about lost Friday nights and long weekends? Have you figured out the right way to match agility with reduction of risk? Tell us your story here!
Lessons Learned
Any other great lessons learned? Stories of how you grew your career? Lessons for success? Engagement in the community? This is the place for you!
Have a different story to tell? Submit! We’re happy to review your submission. To learn more, and share your ideas with us, visit the Trajectory CFP site.
Good luck, and happy shipping!
