We are excited to share that we’ve revamped LaunchDarkly for Developers training with an interactive, self-service workshop and shorter video lessons, so it’s faster to get up to speed on everything you need to know to uplevel your software release management skills.
We heard your feedback loud and clear
Since its launch, LaunchDarkly Academy has been an invaluable resource for onboarding and learning new skills, but there are a few areas that could use some tuning to make our curriculum more applicable to your day-to-day working life.
We surveyed over 2,500 Academy users over a 12 month period beginning in October of 2023 to see where we could improve, and found that 47% wanted interactive, hands-on components and 40% asked for more real-world examples.
Enhancing the academy for practical, real-world learning
Our updated LaunchDarkly for Developers training now provides you with a balanced, practical approach to learning that combines theoretical understanding with real-world application. Key highlights include:
- Hands-on workshop: A 60-minute self-guided workshop that allows you to practice key tasks within a realistic, interactive environment, building confidence in implementing feature flags while helping to ensure smooth, low-risk releases.
- Short video modules: Concise, targeted videos that cover key topics, including the LaunchDarkly architecture, SDK setup, and best practices.
Looking ahead to 2025
The updated LaunchDarkly for Developers training is the beginning of our efforts to overhaul LaunchDarkly Academy so that it becomes the hub for you to master software release management and advance your career.
In early 2025, we will expand LaunchDarkly Academy with additional courses, certifications, and hands-on labs. These new offerings are designed to support you at every stage, helping you lead improvements to your software release management efforts within your organizations.
